Front-end development – CodeNinja.ie Talk

As one of the workshops for this year’s CodeNinja.ie competition, I gave a talk on front-end web development.

It looks at some of current trends in front-end development, my workflow, and interesting front-end technologies (especially those of use to the students taking part in competition).

The presentation itself uses the Reveal.js Presentation Framework. For remote control while you’re giving the presentation, Reveal uses web-sockets to hook up to a mobile device (through remot.io)…which is pretty nice. You need a decent connection on both the presentation laptop and mobile device for it all to worth smoothly.
